Based on many books i have come across including Mahavamsa, Pandukabaya is the son of unmadachithra, and Diga gamini.

However, among these research the following Munidasa Cumaratunga, R Tennakoon and Arisen Ahubudu, were the pioneers in claiming of Pandukabaya to be the son of he is the son of Chittaraja. This was due to the prominent place given to Chittaraja even though he was a lieutenant (MAHENDRA & Jayawardana, 2008).

However, looking at the sources and their weight i would go with Diga Gamini as the father

dear Sanidu….

There is nothing to believe or ignore in Buddhism.. coz Buddhism is the ultimate truth.

I like your attitudes towards our motherland and sinhalese people. As you say we are a proud nation… I wonder i people do not understand that.

If you are aware of the History of SL.. pls let me know one thing…

Is Pandukabaya, son of Chittaraja or Diga gamini… Coz i heard in some stories that he is the son of Chittaraja….. The true story seems to be hidden from the history…..Coz Chittaraja is said to be a YAKSA gothra.

kuwani is a yak goth woman not a spirit
she has 2 children , ( according to buddhism yakshayo can’t make children) So she cant be a spirit she is a sinhala woman.

sinhala = siwhela = 4 hela’s ( yak , na , asura, rakus )

do not reget sinhala people by using mahawamsa(indian author).

sinhalaya’s history is not limited to 2500 yrs .
eg: balangoda manawaya 30000 yrs
when lord Buddha came to lanka ( before vijaya) there are enough Buddhists to make temples, dagobas. (kelaniya, naagadeepa, mahiyangana)

So believe Buddhism or ignore Buddhism and believe MAHAWANSA
